T3 Play: The Plan
What We’ve Learned, What We’re Building, and What’s Next
For those who are new to T3 Play, or for long-time community members wondering where things stand today, this article is intended to be our primary reference point moving forward.
We’re going to cover:
- Our journey over the last four years
- Why many plans changed
- The current state of our products
- NFTs, rewards, and tokens
- The future of Poly Gunnerz, Poker, $TBAG and $T3P
Most importantly, we want to explain how and why our thinking has evolved as the Web3 industry has changed rapidly around us.
Four Years of Building
T3 Play has been building in Web3 for over four years.
Like many early projects, we started with a vision that looked very different from where we are today.
Our original flagship game was Flight Force 4, a shooter built around lore, progression, community participation, and NFT ownership.
Initially we launched multiple NFT collections designed to integrate directly into the game experience and reward long-term supporters as the ecosystem grew.
At the time, the model made so much sense to everyone.
NFT holders would own in-game assets.
The game would expand.
The ecosystem would grow together.
But the industry changed little by little, and the targets kept moving!
The Reality of Web3 Gaming
When Flight Force 4 was first conceived, the expectations for Web3 games were completely different.
As time passed, the industry became flooded with projects that raised large amounts of capital, built impressive pitch decks, launched tokens, and generated enormous hype before delivering very little.
Most projects eventually collapsed, and are still collapsing daily.
Some abandoned development.
Some focused entirely on token speculation.
Others simply disappeared after raising funds.
As a result, players and investors became more skeptical.
Today, announcing a game is not enough.
Having a design document is not enough.
Even having a fully playable high end game with huge marketing budget (Off the Grid and others) is not enough.
Players, especially traditional gamers are not interested in web3, and never really were. So the answer became, build something that gamers enjoy, that traditional gamers are interested in.
The reality is that reaching those standards requires significantly more time, talent, and funding than originally anticipated.
So we put FF4 on ice (Yes, we have big plans for FF4 Characters, NFTs, and lore still, but the plan is different)
Enter Poly Gunnerz
That decision led us to build Poly Gunnerz.
Poly Gunnerz is a low-poly party shooter designed around fun first.
Not tokenomics.
Not NFT speculation.
Fun.
The game features custom characters, creator integrations, gaming communities, and social gameplay designed to appeal to a much wider audience than traditional Web3 gaming.
Most importantly:
Poly Gunnerz has no NFT collection.
Poly Gunnerz has no speculative game token.
Is already FUN!
The game is being built to stand on its own merits.
At the same time, we’re developing unique Web3 integrations that enhance the experience without turning the game into another financial product disguised as entertainment.
The game is already fully playable internally, and we are approaching a major milestone in its development. And once thats live, we move to phase 2, which is set to shake up the gaming industry (Not just web3 gaming)
Spoiler alert — we’ve taken inspiration from products like:
- Polymarket
- Hyperliquid
Proven products with web3 elements that work, while creating something that is distinctly our own. Watch. This. Space
Building Beyond Games
Poly Gunnerz isn’t the only product we’ve been building.
Over the past year we’ve also been developing a poker platform that introduces unique Web3 mechanics designed to improve onboarding, accessibility, and player incentives.
The result will be products that we believe can attract both crypto-native users and traditional gamers.
Our first public versions of both Poly Gunnerz and T3 Poker is now approaching launch.
Why We Didn’t Launch $T3P
One of the most common questions we receive is:
“Wen is $T3P?”
The simple answer is:
Not yet, because timing matters.
Over the last two years, Web3 gaming tokens have experienced some of the worst market conditions the sector has ever seen.
Many projects launched tokens before they had products.
Many projects launched tokens before they had revenue.
Most of those tokens collapsed.
We had the opportunity to launch $T3P much earlier.
Looking back, we’re grateful we didn’t.
Our philosophy today is straightforward:
Products first. Revenue second. Token third.
A token should amplify an ecosystem.
It should not be the ecosystem.
Our goal is to launch $T3P when it can be supported by real products, real users, and real revenue generation, and a healthier market, rather than speculation alone.
The token’s utility today is significantly stronger than it was when originally designed.
And over the coming weeks/months we’ll begin revealing more of that vision with the goal to launch $T3P on a chain that has a huge future and plenty of liquidity!
The Story of $TBAG
While delaying $T3P, we experimented with a different approach through the launch of $TBAG, our gaming-themed meme coin on the Linea ecosystem.
At the time, Linea signalled to us huge opportunities were coming for builders including support, funding opportunities, Consensys wide ecosytem support.
The chain is backed by major industry participants, the ecosystem was excited for the Linea token launch, and we believed early builders would be rewarded for taking risks.
Like many teams in the ecosystem, we expected meaningful support programs, growth initiatives, and opportunities to accelerate development.
The reality has been more challenging.
Market conditions across crypto remain difficult.
Liquidity is limited. User attention is fragmented. And the broader Web3 gaming sector continues to struggle.
As a result, we’ve become increasingly strategic about how we deploy capital and manage ecosystem assets.
Our responsibility is not to create short-term excitement.
Our responsibility is to maximize the long-term success of the products and communities we’re building. No exceptions
That means every decision regarding treasury management, buybacks, incentives, and expansion must be evaluated through that lens.
The Future of $TBAG?
We have huge plans for $TBAG and are building products to position it to be the premier gaming meme coin and community in web3. Its proposition is perfect, and it will gain a lot of extra attention from Poly Gunnerz soon when we integrate it into the game in a unique, non intrusive way!
Exponent buy backs have begun, but they will be strategic, unannounced buy backs when it makes sense. Especially since received less than half the expected rewards value from Linea for winning the campaign.
The Question Everyone Asks: “Wen Rewards?”
Let’s address it directly.
Rewards come from success.
Not hype.
Not promises.
Not temporary market cycles.
Success.
Every NFT collection we’ve launched was created either:
- For utility within our products.
- To participate in future ecosystem growth.
- To benefit directly from T3 Product success
The long-term value of any asset connected to T3 Play is ultimately tied to the success of the products we build and the revenue those products generate.
That’s how sustainable businesses operate.
It’s also how sustainable ecosystems are created.
We understand people want rewards.
We want that too. Thats still the goal.
But rewarding people before value is created is temporary, and doesn’t make financial sense. Its not sustainable.
The goal is to create products that generate real repeatable value first and then distribute that value responsibly across our ecosystem as we’ve always planned to.
If you are holding assets or staking NFTs, either continue as you are, or make your own decisions — This is your responsibility, not ours, we are proceeding ahead as explained in this article. You do you.
Our Philosophy Moving Forward
Over four years we’ve learned a lot.
We’ve seen projects raise millions and disappear.
We’ve watched token launches generate excitement only to collapse soon after.
We’ve seen NFT collections skyrocket and then become worthless.
We’re not interested in repeating those mistakes.
Our strategy moving forward is simple:
Build first.
Generate revenue.
Deploy capital intelligently.
Grow sustainably.
Repeat.
That philosophy guides every decision we make.
What’s Next
The next weeks and months will be some of the most important in T3 Play’s history.
Our immediate goals are:
Poker V1
Target Launch: Mid June
Our first public version featuring the foundations of our long-term poker ecosystem. This is not a gimic product, we want it to be the premier poker game in web3+
Poly Gunnerz RiskMode V1
Target Launch: Before the End of June
The first major public RiskMode (PvP) release in our already fun FPS.
Continued $T3P Development
We remain fully committed to launching $T3P.
However, we will only do so when conditions support long-term success rather than short-term speculation — thats always been the plan
We’re hopeful the market co-operates, but we will not force a launch simply to satisfy market pressure.
Alpha: Everything we build, will in some way tie into the success of $T3P. We are modeling from an already proven system that Rockstar games and Take Two (TTWO) uses. The difference? Our’s is all on-chain, and better, especially at small scale.
Final Thoughts
The truth is that building in Web3 has never been easy.
Most projects fail.
Most founders quit or rug.
Most communities disappear.
Yet four years later, we’re still here.
Still building.
Still shipping.
Still adapting.
And while many teams have spent the last few years focused on how they can extra more money from their community, we’ve kept building real products with a very small, predominantly self funded team.
We’ve had no VC funding like most other web3 games, yet we are still here, for the right reasons.
We’re all still here because we believe in what this industry can become. Some are here to build, some to invest, some to support innovation, and many for a combination of all three. But being early in any emerging industry comes with uncertainty and risk. We all have to own the decisions we make, and that includes the T3 Play team as we continue building for the long term.
The next chapter of T3 Play won’t be defined by promises.
It will be defined by launches. Revenue. Real growth.
Let’s build. 🚀
