T3 Play building a game with the biggest collective IP in the world?
We think the answer to the title question is — Most likely!
At this point no one else is building a high quality shooter game made up entirely of external IP, communities having their own character, assets, and even token integrated into a ready made game.
There’s multiple “Metaverse” experiences, but no standalone complete games doing this to the extent T3 Play is. First with Poly Gunnerz, and then with Kulture Kartz, utilising all the same partnerships and IP.
What’s the relevance of this though?
As we know, web2 gaming has reached a peak, it needs new innovation like what mobile gaming did for the industry 15 years ago. We all know that web3 can be that next innovation - but what part of web3 tech is actually going to kick things off?
Lets look at the main things web3 gaming enables that web2 doesn’t currently:
- On-chain tokens of value on decentralised networks (Ability to extract to USD)
- On-chain tokens (NFTs) representing in-game assets (Ability to extract to USD)
- Thousands of active communities and millions of users across a variety of sectors (Memes, NFTs, Gaming, DeFi, RWA, A.I and more) who all share one thing in common — An understanding and belief in web3, and the ability to use the tech on at least a basic level.
Everyone’s focusing on the tokens and NFTs, yet no one has nailed those either, even if there’s a lot of value tied to some of the more successful gaming tokens.
One thing that’s been under pursued, is working with the enormous amount of unique communities that web3 has spawned in recent years. Sure, there are some great platforms and metaverse style experiences so far, but nothing that has really reached expectations.
However, are there any quality, purpose built games that have leveraged and integrated these communities at scale? There are some games dabbling with basic collab partnerships, partner skins, or a maybe a special character. But what about a game that’s entire central thesis is partnering with a smorgasbord of IP that is ripe for integrating into fun games and social experiences?
This is exactly what Poly Gunnerz, and next year Kulture Kartz are doing. The only characters in these game will be partnered and integrated existing IP. The lobbies and maps will be filled with hundreds and eventually thousands of unique “Gunnerz” based on your favorite Memes, NFTs, gaming characters, and anything in between.
There will be a constant flow of new partners, characters, community vs community tournaments, memes vs NFT’s, large scale events - it will be a content creating dream. And at the heart of it, a game that’s good enough as a standalone title in its own right!
This is the future of gaming, we don’t need to reinvent the wheel, we just needed to find the best way to integrate the tech and users. T3 Play is on a one way mission to provide that game and be the leader web3 gaming needs.
Poly Gunnerz will have tokens, it will have NFTs, it will be a fun game with options for everyone, but we strongly believe the most important ingredient in a successful web3 business will always be a strong community. That’s an ingredient Poly Gunnerz will have in spades!
In hindsight, it’ll be so obvious, but until that day comes we’ll let our actions do the talking. This is just the tip of the iceberg, the options are unlimited once you have a highly active “community hub” with the collective financial and marketing firepower greater than the sum of its parts…
