Everyone has heard the saying “own your assets” being used a lot in web3, but even in traditional gaming we are seeing people begin to talk about it.
Flight Force 4 (FF4) believes in what Epic games is calling the “Creator Economy 2.0”. This is where gamers and creators can create and contribute to an existing game platform. For example, Fortnite now allows users to create their own custom maps through UEFN “Unreal Engine Editor Fortnite”.
The amazing thing about this system is the user can actually earn real revenue generated in Fortnite based on player engagement. In other words, if you build an amazing map that people love playing, you will get paid!

This is something that FF4 wants to explore as we build out and these systems become readily available for everyone using Unreal Engine. Imagine being able to create your own map in FF4 that you can go one step further than Fortnite by including beneficial web3 integrations like NFTs and tokens!
This is where “own your assets” also comes into the conversation! If you can build a custom map, why not also have the ability to add assets that you already own? You could create an incredible map that allows use of rare characters and assets, maybe 1/1 characters, weapons, and vehicles if you own them!
So! We’re going to give every FF4 NFT asset holder the ability to do this in future by giving holders access to multiple high quality 3D files associated with the particular asset you hold!
Remember the last Medium article where we talked about stepping up the 3D asset quality and detail here? Well, you will get access to those files once we get the portal sorted and files hosted!
How’s it work?
We are working on a portal using wallet connect. All you will need to do to access the files, is connect the wallet holding the assets you want to download (Desktop only). The contract will read what NFTs you hold and allow you to download the associated files! There is no date yet for this and a lot will depend on how quickly we can get the new and improved 3D files ready!
Going forward, this will apply to all our NFTs and 3D assets! When we can combine this with the ability to create your own map in the Flight Force 4 game the sky becomes the limit, let your imagination run wild! Imagine having your own library of the highest quality 3D assets you can use for anything you like!
